Art into design

The Capella and Apollo hand knotted rugs take inspiration from the intersecting blocks in Margo’s hand woven moon landing artwork - they are defining examples of the studio’s ‘Art into Industry’ approach.

Made using a traditional asymmetrical knotting technique each rug is formed by wrapping yarn around a rod (saria) on an upright loom. This creates a premium quality long-lasting rug, with a deep and dense pile.

Produced in 100% handspun wool, and expertly hand finished with a smooth level pile height.

Every design in our portfolio can be adapted and custom-made to your required size, and colour palette, in a range of making techniques (Hand Knotted, Premium Tufted, Hand Tufted or Flatweave).
