Art in the Studio

The Shuttle series considers the relationship between weaving and technology. Through precise, graphic compositions and flowing colour transitions, the work explores the synergy between art, craftsmanship and engineering, considering the ways in which woven structures can create both functionality and visual stimulation.

Visitors will have the opportunity to preview some of the large format suspended textile works in dialogue with the actual loom on which they were created, offering insight into the relationship between process and final form.

Also in the studio for this event, another opportunity to see the moonlanding textile first shown at Somerset House in 2024 and created as part of a dual work alongside composer Helen Caddick.

We are enjoying having moonlandingon show in our studio space before the work is installed at Canterbury Cathedral over the summer - details of this exciting event to follow soon.
